1957 Crestliner Jetstreak 1958 Mercury Mark 55 outboard
In 1998 I traded an old timey stereoscope for this boat. The trade wasn't exactly for the boat, it was more a boat part, the hull. I was super stoked until I realized I had to come up with every other part on the boat, engine, hardware, steering wheel, windshield and of course a trailer, etc... The nice thing about boat parts is that they don't all have to be boat parts, meaning the Jetstreak has car parts, bicycle parts, airplane parts and metal from old road signs. Therefore this boat is far from what it looked like coming out of the factory, but the look is period correct. Oh yeah, one last thing I sunk this boat on Payette Lake, on it's first sea trial. The boat was recovered, I learned and am currently making design changes (balance) and hope to have her back in the water this summer (2018).
